Welcome to the 5 Mile Community Garden – The Garden of Eatin’!

This Community Garden was started as a way to reach out and serve our neighbors in the 5-Mile area back in 2013.

The goal of the garden is to:

  • Provide a fun and interactive environment where people of all ages can learn and work together to grow nutritious food for our families, neighbors and local food banks.
  • Provide an inviting, safe and relaxing place where people can enjoy one another and God’s creation, while getting in some exercise at the same time!

The ‘Garden of Eatin’ is an Organic Garden where we use only products and procedures that are beneficial to the soil, the air, the animals and the people.  So, we do not allow any synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides to be used within the garden area.  We want our practices to be sustainable and enriching to our environment.

Registrations are open until May 31st.

• Raised bed(s) are $30 ea. (4’x8’)
• In-ground areas are $30 ea. or $15 for half space, with the rental of 1 raised bed. In ground area only $40. (These spaces are approx. 24’x19’)
